I have a really complicated situation that needs addressing. So I'm really in to this girl. She's into partying and hooking up and all of that, but I told her I see her more of a girlfriend type. I recently opened up to her and she says "she doesn't know what she wants" and "She doesn't know if she could love someone else". At the end of the night when I got home, I texted her and told her that I was sorry that I opened up to her like that because she has enough going on in her life and I didn't want to make her think about more. I told her that it must be weird that you know someone who likes you in that way and you'll never feel the same way. Her response? "Never say never". How do I interpret this?

@ Matthew : So, Matthew, to be frank I'm no relationship pro, but first how old are you guys? Pretty young, early twenty? Teens? Just don't tell me even younger... Then perhaps she was being honest with you, young as she is, and of course the same for you, she probably never thought about loving someone, anyone, she's just having fun with her life, and she enjoys it. But as a guy, it's hard for you to understand what's going on in girls' mind, when girls say "Never say never", most of the time, it could be interperred in two ways: a) She may not like you now, but she definitely doesn't dislike you, so there's a possibility that she might like you "one day" when she gets to know you more, but when will the "one day" come, no one knows. b)She's being polite, try turning you down with a not hurtful way, at least it proves she's a nice girl. And actually there's a 3rd way to understand that never say never, this is why I asked how old you guys are, cuz it'll only be ture when she is a totally grown woman (young girls are still too naive to be that bitchy), then she's just playing you, she doesn't want to turn you away so she still has a chance to hook up with you, but the truth is she's NOT interested in you.
